A collection like no other...

David collected a vast range of intriguing valuables over his lifetime – a Malachite Cigar box, Durs Egg Pocket pistol, Faberge Parasol handle, Coteau Clock, Maude Earl Pointer, Ciuli Table, Russian Imperial Glass Vase, and Quarenghi Hercules armchairs. And that’s just for starters.

A visual spectacle

The lavish, elaborate themed rooms at David’s home, Fermoy House, ooze opulence and burst with colours, patterns, textures and spectacle. Densely hung with paintings, loaded with antique furniture, your eyes are set for a feast.

Returning to Adelaide exclusively at David Roche Gallery, Salon des Refusés features over 50 remarkable portrait and landscape paintings from some of Australia’s leading contemporary artists. Known as the popular alternative to the esteemed Archibald and Wynne Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the exhibition brings together works not selected for the official exhibition, but rather those recognised for their outstanding quality, diversity and experimentation.
